چکیده
This article discusses a case of Escherichia coli (E. coli) meningitis resulting in altered mental status patient with multiple pre-existing comorbidities. The highlights the underestimated risk community-acquired gram-negative adults, which can have high mortality rate, particularly elderly patients sepsis and urinary tract infections. Diagnosis E. was confirmed by analyzing cerebrospinal fluid obtained through lumbar puncture blood cultures. Treatment involved prompt administration antibiotics supportive care. However, emergence antibiotic resistance, such as extended-spectrum beta-lactamase production, is an increasing concern. Therefore, early recognition appropriate management are crucial diagnosis treatment this life-threatening condition.

Resistance patterns of Escherichia coli causing urinary tract infection
Background: Urinary tract infection (UTI) is one of the most prevalent infectious diseases and Escherichia coli is its common cause. The aim of this study was to assess the resistance patterns of E.coli in urinary tract infections and to determine the susceptibility of E.coli to commonly used antimicrobials and also to evaluate the options for empirical treatment of UTI. Methods: This stud...

Background and Objectives: Resistance to aminoglycosides has become a major problem in the treatment of urinary tract infection due to the extensive use of this antibiotic group. Due to the increased resistance of Escherichia coli to aminoglycosides, this study systematically evaluated the resistance to aminoglycosides by Escherichia coli isolated from urinary tract infection (UTI) in Ira...
